Scarily Good Halloween!

Here at Costcutter, we’re creepin’ it real with our range of fang-tastic offers and recipe ideas to make your Halloween scarily good!

Monster Mash

“Costcutter did the mash, they did the monster mash!”

With Halloween landing midweek this year, we wanted to give you some ideas how to make your dinner extra scary. We have a great deal running in store - our Monster Mash Meal Deal (all of this for under £5!):

• Richmond Sausages

• Heritage baking potatoes

• Green cabbage

• Bisto

But how do you get the perfect mash? We like to keep it simple (meaning more time for tricks and treats!) Simply add 1tsp of butter or margarine and a splash of milk and mash ‘til your hearts content! Then add the splash of green food colouring to give it that Frankenstein glow.

And for the adults… How about pairing it with a bottle of The Fursty Ferret, which are any 3 for £5! A monstrously moreish malty, amber ale.

Make The Most Of Your Pumpkin

It’s the time of year when pumpkins fly off the shelves, ready to be carved into faces, glowing eerily with the flicker of a candle. But what do you do with all the leftover pumpkin flesh? Many of us simply throw this away, when there are loads of delicious recipes to be made using it!

Why not treat the family to a sweet Pumpkin Pie? Or if you’re looking for something to warm your bones, try making a wholesome Pumpkin Soup with a scattering of crunchy croutons!

You could even try adding pumpkin puree to a smoothie to make a devilishly delicious drink – it goes perfectly with bananas, coconut milk and dates, all whizzed up in a blender!

Wicked Cocktails

Costume looking scarily good? Decorations and props all ready to go? It’s party time!

Why not serve up a signature drink at your shindig? Get your parties started with a spellbinding Halloween tipple!

Check out our Spooky Punch for a crowd favourite with a spookily-smoky effect. Try serving alongside our frighteningly good Zombie Nachos and our freakish Finger Lickin’ Hot Dogs to ensure all of your ghoulish guests go home happy.
