Our simple recipe will transform your pancakes with this delicious orangey sauce.


  • Juice of 2 Oranges and the zest of 1
  • 100g Golden Caster Sugar
  • A knob of Butter


  1. Put the sugar and 3tbsp orange juice into a microwaveable bowl and stir before microwaving on high for 4 minutes until it has made a bubbling caramel. 
  2. Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave - it will be very hot - then add to the caramel the rest of juice, the zest and the butter. Stir the mixture and microwave for a further 1 minute, stir, then cook for 1 more minute until you have a runny, syrupy sauce.
  3. Serve over warm pancakes with cream of ice cream.
