Homemade Burgers

  • 6 Brioche Buns
  • 500g Independent Beef Mince
  • Dash Independent Black Pepper
  • 1 Independent Free Range Egg
  • 1 Independent Lettuce
  • 1 tbsp Independent Mixed Herbs
  • 2 tbsp Independent Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Independent Plain Flour
  • Dash Independent Salt
  • 2, sliced Independent Tomatoes
  • 1, finely chopped Independent White Onion



  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion for about 5 mins or until soft. Leave to cool slightly.
  2. When cool, put the onion in a large bowl with the mince, egg, herbs, salt and pepper and mix well to combine. 
  3. Divide the mince into 6, roll into balls and flatten each into a nice fat burger.
  4. Put the flour on a plate, dab each burger to the flour on both sides, then transfer to a baking tray. 
  5. Wrap with cling film and pop in the fridge for a couple of hours.
  6. Remove the burgers from the fridge, then drizzle the burgers with a little olive oil and put them in the oven to cook for 20-30 mins, flipping them halfway.
  7. Serve the burgers in the rolls with your choice of toppings.
