Chicken wings are an affordable cut - use a few store-cupboard ingredients to add a spicy kick!

Ingredients (Serves 6):

  • 24 Chicken Wings
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Red Chilli, diced
  • 2 cm Root Ginger, grated

Method:

  1. Mix the honey, soy sauce, chilli and ginger in a small bowl to make your marinade.
  2. Add the chicken wings to a mixing bowl and pour in the marinade, mixing well so that all of the wings are coated. Cover the bowl with cling film and place in the fridge for several hours - overnight if possible.
  3. Arrange the wings on a baking tray and stick in an oven preheated to 180C/gas 4. Cook for 20-25 minutes until the juices run clear when the skin is pierced, or if you're using a thermometer ensure the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165F.

Chef's Tip! Chicken wings make great finger food for parties. Serve with mini pots of creme fraiche or mayonnaise to dip in.
